Brazos Bend

This weekend we took our first camping trip. At least I call it camping. We used Grammy and Poppy's trailer that had beds and AC. (No bathroom though!) C loved the trailer. She went in and out and slept soundly all night long. The first thing she said when she woke up was how much she wanted to camp again. We went on a nice walk around one of the lakes and saw lots of neat birds and alligators. Next we roasted hot dogs and marshmallows while fending off some very brave raccoons. We also saw an opossum and armadillo. In the morning Mike and Carly spotted some deer. The mama deer stomped her foot (which C thought meant she was waving back to her) and then they all took off. We stopped at the nature center because C had to touch the snake and alligator and take a picture for Marmo. After that we packed up and headed back to the house.



Our next big trip will be to see Nana out by Waco. We will take the whole family and our boats!
