Halloween 2008

Finally

We finally broke down and got C a new bike. Santa said it was okay since the weather has been so nice and she didn't get one for her birthday like we wanted. The best part is that her Barbie can ride WITH her on her own bike. How cool is that?!?

You can almost feel the love...

Pumpkin Patch

We finally made it to the pumpkin patch today. We have been trying for three days, and it was well worth the wait. We ended up with some pretty awesome pumpkins for a good price too! I love these pics. C loves being a big sister, and I think it shows.

How Lucky am I?!?

I know everyone has an opinion about how far apart to have their children. Some people have them sooner than others. As of now, I am thrilled at the 4 years that we decided to go with. I am sure that as M gets older it will be harder to find stuff that they can do together. But how often can you get a picture like this with your daughter "reading" to your son?

Finally some updates...

I am catching up with lots of posts! Keep reading way down below...

2 Months

My little man hit the two month mark this past weekend. We had the dreaded doctor's appointment with 5 shots and 1 oral vaccine. The best part was having him weighed and measured. I am always interested in that stuff (mostly so I know what size clothes to buy.) He was 11 lbs 10 oz (60%) and 24 inches long (80%). The doctor said he looked really good and not to worry about all of the spitting up. He still has not smiled at me... but I caught him grinning at Mike the other night. He is enamored with Mike and watches him constantly. I love it!

Too much TV?

This is when I really love my sweet C and have to laugh. Picture us sitting around the TV watching Jon & Kate Plus 8 (I was lucky enough to be snuggling both of my babies.) when a commercial for new show about the Duggars comes on. They are talking about the family that has 17 kids and one on the way. As they preview the new show they mention the 200 loads of laundry they have to do a month.

Me to Mike: 200 loads! I could never keep up with that. I guess that's why you have that many kids though.

C to Me: No, for love.

Me: What?

C: You have kids for love. That's what the lady on the TV says. (In reference to the new VW minivan commercials with Brook Shields. You have to have seen the commercials to get why this is funny. Hopefully it's not just me that appreciates this!)

She also likes to play a version of Project Runway/ Shear Genius in the tub. She plays with her Barbies hair and then says, "I am sorry you are out. You must leave the runway." My kind of girl!

Love/Hate Relationship

When these two aren't fighting they are two peas in a pod. Both are strong willed and won't give in to the other. At the same time they are way to similar. Maybe that's the problem.

(Yes C is drinking from a sippy cup. Mostly because I am too lazy to clean up and deal with a regular cup. The closer she gets to kindergarten the more I see what I am doing wrong as a parent.)

Misc Pics

My sweet witch?!?

I love his sweet face!

M ready for his first day of school.

M and his cousin. They are eight weeks and about 40 minutes apart in age, but not in size.

She did this all on her own!
