Totally Awkward Photo Shoot

Let me start by saying that I absolutely love to take pictures of people.  If I wasn't a teacher, I would be a photographer.  Of course, my favorite subjects are my babies and their daddy. I consider it an added bonus when I get to add my niece to the mix.  We discovered when M and cousin D were babies how hard it is to get three kiddos to pose and smile at the same time.  Now that the little ones are older, I think it might have gotten harder since they now have their own opinions and moods.  Yesterday we had an adventure day with Grammy, Poppy, and Cousin D.  (I will detail the adventure in a later post.)  We had two missions on this adventure; one was to go to a special restaurant and the other was to get pictures of the kiddos in the bluebonnets.

Let me set the seen  for this one.

C is nearing 7 years old and is in the process of loosing her third tooth.  She has had at least four loose teeth since her visit to the dentist last summer.  The first loose tooth was easy as pie, the second had a little drama, and this third top tooth is Drama with a capital D!  At one point I turned around in the van to see C wiggling her tooth with blood all over her mouth.  As of this moment, the tooth is still in her mouth even though she tried her best to pull it yesterday when we got home.

M is at the point where he is into pictures and turns into a big ham. That made him an easy target until a bug flew around his face, then it was all over.

D is a very bright little girl with a strong personality.  She is slightly afraid of bugs so sitting in a field of flowers and bugs could have gone either way.  Especially when Uncle Mike starts off by giving M a ladybug on a bluebonnet.

My camera and computer are not quite getting along when it comes to downloading pictures.  When I started to edit the ones my computer would pull up, this is what I got...
Three happy kiddos... can't you tell?!?

AAAAHHHH!  Bug in my hair!
My little Nanny McPhee.  She tried so hard to smile without that tooth.

My plan is to take my SD card to Walmart and have the remaining pictures put on a disc.  Hopefully then, I will be able to post a better set of pictures.  Otherwise we will have to find a closer set of bluebonnets and try again!
