We had our first big camping trip this past weekend. I have to admit it started off pretty rough. C was not feeling well and threatened to throw up the entire drive. We even had to stop several times for her and that is never the case. When she wasn't complaining, M was because he was hungry. This was our first long drive with two kiddos, and boy is it different.
The bugs were awful. C and I do not like bugs. She has become majorly afraid of any and all after her "little" trip to the ER because of her ant bites. Our first trip to the restroom ended with her screaming hysterically because of the ants and one HUGE grasshopper. Luckily Nana and Jack saved the day with their motor home.
Things went up hill from there. C loved the entire family sleeping in the camper, including the four of us in a king sized bed. If you ask her, staying with her whole family (Mike's side at least) was her favorite part. She loves playing in the trailer because Grammy stocks it full of fun stuff. She was also very excited because Nana surprised her with a bag of fun things to do as well.
The kiddos had a blast being pulled by Poppy in his new bike trailer, the wagon, and D's car. They also had a great time in the pool. Thank goodness we brought it. I am not sure I want to go again until it cools down a little, but C is ready for the next trip!
