Christmas 2011

Christmas this year was a great big surprise for C and M. I could honestly barely keep the secret to myself! I think I was just as excited as the kiddos when they opened the box that gave away the big surprise!

Christmas day we hopped in our car and headed out for our first family vacation! After many, many hours, we finally arrived at ...

and not a moment too soon.  I was tired of being in the car, the kiddos were troopers and barely ever complained!  We chose to stay at Port Orleans French Quarter this time.  It was beautiful and we loved it!

The night we arrived we hi-tailed it over to Hollywood Studios for some quick fun.  C and I went and rode the Tower of Terror.  Not sure either of us would have gotten right back on.  It is scary in the daylight, but even worse at night!  The boys headed out on their own adventure and look who they found!

The next morning we rode the Monorail for a while since little man M loves trains and had breakfast with Mickey and his friends at the Contemporary Resort.  What a way to start the day!

We then headed over to Epcot for a while.  The kiddos enjoyed Under the Sea with Nemo, Figment, and the boat ride in the Land section.  Of course we stopped at the squirting fountains and happened to get caught in the rain.  Thank goodness for the water taxis!  We rode back and forth from Mexico to Germany waiting for to M nap and the rain to stop.

The next morning we were up bright and early to head to Universal Studios to see the Wizarding World of Harry Potter.  I'll save that for a later post.  ;)  When we returned to our room, Marmo and Daddo had a treat waiting for us.  What a great surprise!

Thursday was our breakfast with the princesses at Magic Kingdom.  It was also the early park hours so we were there when the gates open at 7:00am.  It was perfect!  No lines and no crowds!  We met a few characters and went on several of the more popular rides.  The teacups were a blast... at least for Mike and the kiddos.  Once was all I could take! After all that fun, it was time for breakfast!

We were invited by Cinderella herself to breakfast.

The kiddos received wishing stars, a wand, and a sword.  We were lucky enough to be table number one so all of the beautiful princesses greeted us first!

We headed back to our room for a nice long nap and returned later for the more rides, fireworks, parades, and of course to see Tinkerbell fly.  The nap worked out in the end since we stayed out until midnight.

The last day was jammed packed with Animal Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, and Epcot.  We met a few more characters,  (The line for Buzz and Woody was LONG but lots of photo opportunities!)  and took a few more photos.

The crowds and lines were crazy, but we managed to have an awesome time.  Don't tell Mike, but I'm ready to go back!
